Payment Policy

Private-pay only

Sohtak is a private-pay booking marketplace. All bookings made through the platform are cash/private-pay unless the professional clearly states otherwise on their profile.

How payment works

• Sohtak does not currently collect a booking deposit or platform payment from patients when a booking is requested.
• The session fee is paid directly to the professional in cash or by any method the professional offers.
• Example: Session price $30 — the patient pays $30 directly to the professional. Sohtak does not take an online deposit for that booking.

Insurance is not accepted through the platform

Insurance is not currently accepted through Sohtak. All bookings are private-pay/cash-based unless the professional clearly states otherwise on their own profile.

The platform does not submit insurance claims, does not process NSSF or private-insurance reimbursement, and does not guarantee that any service booked will be reimbursed by any insurer.

Patients are responsible for confirming directly with their insurance provider whether a service may be covered.

Role of Sohtak

Sohtak is a private-pay booking marketplace. We do not act as an insurance provider, insurance broker, or claims processor. Any insurance coverage, reimbursement, or third-party payment arrangement is strictly between the patient, the professional, and the insurance provider.

Refunds and cancellations

Because Sohtak does not currently collect a platform deposit for bookings, refunds for amounts paid directly to the professional are handled by the professional under their own terms. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for booking cancellation rules.
