Designing packages clients actually buy (and renew)

Session packs are the single biggest lever on lifetime value. Here's how to structure, price, and present them so clients say yes on the first call.

Practitioner presenting a session package plan to a client

Most practitioners undersell their packages. They list a 10-session pack at a 5% discount and wonder why nobody bites. The problem is not the price — it's the shape of the offer.

Anchor the outcome, not the sessions

Clients don't buy sessions. They buy outcomes — recovery from an injury, a completed nutrition reset, a race they can finish. Name the package after the outcome and describe what changes by the end.

Offer three tiers, not one

  • Starter (4 sessions): quick win, low commitment
  • Core (10 sessions): the recommended path, best value
  • Premium (20 sessions + async support): for serious transformations

Price the middle tier to win

Most clients pick the middle option regardless of price — a well-known behavioral pattern. Design your middle tier to be the offer you actually want to sell.
